Beyond words, our prosidy, intonation and dozens of other cues serve to derive meaning
and empathize during a conversation. Video-calls make it difficult to pick-up on these cues,
which can alienate and fatigue the participants. This product uses ultrasound and optical sensors to capture non-verbal cues and respresents them using vibration, heat and light.
It is designed to be centered around a mutual remote activity, which creates a sense of being in the same space. I tested the prototype with multiple users to prove this concept
and they reported an enhanced sense of connection and see the potential for this product as a new way to interact online.
